KIRABOSHI : SERIES SUMMARIES
Series One & Two - Episodes 1-46: Kinomoto Sakura, the ten-year-old girl, after school one day, hears an odd noise coming from her basement. Armed only with her cheerleading baton, she carefully heads downstairs to see what the noise was.. only to find an odd book in her father's extensive library entitled, "The Book of Clow". When Sakura picks it off the shelf, the lock opens by itself! Inside is a collection of various cards. Taking the first in her hand, Sakura attempts to read the English on it - and when she does finally figure out how to pronounce "Windy", all the cards in the book fly away! To make things even more suprising, after this display of magic, an odd winged bear emerges from the book.. and proceeds to greet Sakura in an Osakan dialect. And this is just the beginning of Sakura's adventures, after Keroberos - the Guadian Beast of the Seal - employs Sakura as the Cardcaptor, to return all the escaped Clow Cards to the Clow Book. With her friend Daidouji Tomoyo as her costume designer and resident film-maker, the mysterious Chinese transfer student Li Syaoran attempting to catch the cards as well, and all number of odd spirits running free about Tomoeda, the first two series of Cardcaptor Sakura detail the escapades of Sakura as she attempts to regain all of the lost Clow Cards.

Series Three - Episodes 47-70: After winning in the Final Judgement against Yue, Sakura finds herself as the newest Mistress of the Cards. Life is running smoothly for a while, even with all of her summer vacation homework.. that is, until an odd transfer student from England arrives in Sakura's school. After that, the whole world decided to go awry. After her first day back at school, when talking with Kero-chan, a light eminates from her desk drawer where the Book of Clow was resting. As Sakura opens the drawer, she is engulfed in light, then suddenly finds herself alone, in a sort of alternate dimension, where Clow speaks with her, or so it seems.. and then, suddenly, she is back in reality. However, something has changed; the Clow Book is no longer the same, instead being coloured pink and having the word "Sakura" written on it. Later on, when Sakura, Tomoyo and Keroberos are investigating the meaning of an odd rainfall, Sakura finds, to her dismay, that her Key cannot change into the Star Wand. The next night, however, when trying once again to summon the wand, Clow's voice enters Sakura's mind, giving her the inspiration to try a different incantation. A new magic circle appears when Sakura switches "kage" for "hoshi" in her chant, and, thankfully, it works. When Sakura attempts to use the Firey Cards, however, they, it, fails to respond! Figuring out that because the wand now has the powers of the Stars within it, the Cards probably also need to be changed, Sakura creates a spur-of-the-moment incantation, turning the Firey Card from the old form into one matching her new Sakura Book. As Tomoyo calls the new cards, "Sakura Cards", the mission of Sakura this time round is to change all of the Clow Cards into the new form.. and what does the new transfer student have to do with all of this, anyway?
