KIRABOSHI : FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Feel free to send in any more questions for the FAQ!

Q. What is this Cardcaptor Sakura thing anyway?
A. It's an anime and manga series, by the lovely women at CLAMP.

Q. Anime? Manga? What the hell?
A. Anime is the term for Japanese Animation (ie. Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Pokémon, etcetera), and Manga is the term for Japanese Comics.

Q. Alright.. but what is CLAMP?
A. CLAMP are a group of female mangaka, or manga artists, who are quite popular in Japan - and elsewhere. They created titles such as Magic Knight Rayearth, X/1999, Chobits, and many more. See my About CLAMP for more details.

Q. What's with the English version, "Cardcaptors"?
A. "Cardcaptors" is the American-dubbed version of CCS, by Nelvana. Any CCS fan knows that it is terrible, a true mutilation of this beautiful series. It isn't worth watching, if you have access to the Japanese version.

Q. So what makes Cardcaptors so bad anyway?
A. Where to get started.. the series order is out of whack, whole scenes and even episodes have been removed from the routine, the dialogue has been changed drastically, and, well, it's just terrible. CCS vs. CC and Cardcaptors Uncensored give extremely good evidence of this.

Q. You know, CCS looks really "cutesy", like it's a show for little kids..
A. In all honesty, the show was really made for 8-12 year old females.. well, on the surface, in any case. Though it can be a little childish in parts, the anime and manga on a whole is quite involving. Anyone can enjoy CCS, no matter their age or gender.

Q. Okay, I'm convinced. Where can I get CCS?
A. Lots of places, actually. There could be a store near you that stocks the anime or manga. You could always try eBay or Amazon, or even Tokyopop. Just have a look around in all the usual spots.
