A customer needed a battery replaced on her car and took it to a local mechanic. The mechanic tested her old battery and sure enough, it was bad. So the mechanic takes a new battery off the store shelf and starts to install the battery, then stops. He asked the customer if she had any table salt that he could use. The customer asked, Can't you wait until you are done with my car before you eat your lunch? The mechanic said well Miss, the salt is for your battery. I always put a bit of salt on the positive and negative battery terminals when I install a new battery. The customer looked very puzzled and asked, why is that??? The mechanic said, with a bit of salt on the battery terminals, you get a "salt & battery" charge.
