Site Information

The skinny.
Dreamflower first graced the Net in 2004, the result of much toil and too many rereadings of Unfinished Tales. Since then, I've read the interesting bits of the HoME series, reread UT a few more times, and learned a lot more about web design, all to the great benefit of this website.

Dreamflower is, obviously, a Galadriel fan site. Galadriel has always been one of my favorite characters in the Tolkien mythos, and her story provides a fascinating lens on the story of Middle-earth as a whole. Simply put, she rocks!

Apart from being a Galadriel fan, I am also a research glutton. So instead of making a fan site with pretty pictures and not a lot of content, this site aims to tell Galadriel's story in as much unnecessary detail as possible, presenting Tolkien's endless essays and scribbles in an easy-to-read format. And, yes, there are pretty pictures too.

Technical stuff.
Dreamflower was redesigned in July 2006. It was written in gedit and uses CSS. It should be compatible with all browsers and with all resolutions 800 x 600 and higher. The title font is Tolkien, which can be downloaded from Arwen-Undomiel.com under "media." The side graphic and banner link templates are from Evergreen.

Your webmistress.
I'm Becky, a college student with too much time on her hands. I enjoy reading, writing, and web design, all of which have contributed to the creation of this site.

My personal site is at penny-dreadful.net.
